And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31
Hey you guys! I’m approaching hour 16 on a church bus right now, and I’ve slept so much I just can’t anymore. So y’all are about to see some pictures from my Asheville trip… GET PSYCHED. I’m heading to Florida on a mission trip with my church, and the day after I get back from that I’m going to the beach. Summer is crazy, so I thought I would write before I got super busy with all the craziness that will go on this week!
So like I said, I went to visit my family in Asheville, North Carolina, like I do twice every year, and let me tell you that place is HIP. Seriously every person I saw had dread locks, a peace pipe, and drove a Subaru if they weren’t on their bikes. I’m talking drum circles, clog dancing shindigs, lots of interpretive dancing, lots of tie-dye, and lots of pictures of cats. To call it hippieville would be an understatement, but it was awesome. It’s also one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. If you don’t believe me, just take a looksee for yourself.
That’s all I really have to share with you all, but being there just really allowed me to reflect on the beauty of The Lord and how perfect and different He makes everyone and everything on His earth. It’s just so crazy to experience different places, because sometimes we don’t really know that the world is different until we go out and experience it for ourselves. And if this earth is as beautiful as it is, stained by sin, imagine what heaven is going to be like in it’s perfection. That’s my soapbox for the day, anyway. I hope all of you are well, and I will write about my mission trip when the time comes. If we ever get there, that is. It’s day two of traveling and we’re still 300 miles out! Please keep us and the hearts of the people The Lord is preparing in Florida in your prayers. I love you all!
